vegan cheeze sauce

here is a delicious non-processed, non-dairy vegan cheeze dip that is wonderful! it wows both vegans and carnivores. it's warm, ooey, gooey and delicious on nachos! i've been making it for nearly a decade, but i'm placing the recipe here in case i ever misplace it. (not that i don't have it memorized or anything!) 

ingredients:
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup raw cashews (soaked for at least an hour, or overnight)
  • 1 cup nutritional yeast
  • 4 oz. jar of pimentos
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch 
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1  1/2 tsp salt
instructions:
  1. place all ingredients in blender and mix on high until completely smooth.
  2. pour into saucepan. heat over medium heat while stirring or whisking continuously for 5-10 or until cheeze is thickened to desired consistency.
  3. enjoy!
