this friday through sunday is the green street fair in plymouth. this fair is super fun with a lot going on!
"Green Street Fair, Inc. was founded to help educate and inform people of all ages about the benefits of green, organic, and eco friendly products and services. To promote global interest and personal well-being, the Green Street Fair blends companies, artisans, entertainers, workshops and speakers together in a friendly and family-oriented outdoor environment. Consumers who attend the Green Street Fair will be encouraged to learn the advantages of taking strides, large or small, towards living a healthier and greener life." highlights from the fair include: the market village, exhibitor displays, speakers, live music, street performers, interactive displays, childrens activity centers, trash can jam, fort box, fitness and well-being demos, organic cuisine, art installations, and more. hopefully the weather will cooperate and make the day even better.

today dang manz had a great thrifting day. i found some nice wooden racks that need some rebuilding, but shall be used for a new craft fair table display. [read: for next saturday's craft revival!] i also found a thrift store with tons of linens and fabric (and other craft doo-dads). the selection wasn't hot today, i only got a few pieces, but it's nice to know it's there.

here we have a stack of fabric. it sits in front of me on the floor as i cut and cut and watch the outsiders.
and here is some random handmade paper-mache puppet parade chaos to make you smile. nothing like a rainy day parade filled with colors and creatures!

these vintage frames were a great find for a new project i'm working on. they are really well made. i'm in total craft fair preparation mode over here. a bit fun and a bit crazy!
have you checked out handmade detroit's new website? you should, it's nice, and features all your local crafty news. and the vendor list for craft revival is up.
